Biography

William Carron Studied drawing at the National College of Art and Design and Studied mechanical engineering at Bolton St. College, Studied ceramics and pottery with Harry Horlock Stringer at Tagg's Yard, London. Elected member of Watercolour Society of Ireland, 1997 Elected member of Royal Hibernian Academy, 1996

This present work is Carron at his best, capturing the essence of Purteen dock yard. It’s obvious Carron is an artist with links to the past style of John Luke. Carron has grown and  followed great artists of the 20th century and his direct technical ability is seen with works of this period.
